Was Harry Potter Meant to be in Slytherin?

Mr. Potter was a Gryffindor, but was he meant to be?

I caught up with professor McGonagall. She said the sorting hat did get confused on him because he had all of the houses in him.

I also asked, “If Mr. Potter was sorted into Slytherin, do you think that’s because of his muggle family or not?”

She replied, “The muggle side of the family has nothing to do with it. It depends on the parents.”
