Parvati Patil is a witch born into the Patil family, alongside her twin sister, Padma Patil. In 1991, she started her education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was sorted into Gryffindor House, demonstrating her bravery and loyalty, traits that Gryffindor values most.

Parvati shared a dormitory with Hermione Granger and became good friends with her and other Gryffindors. She is also known for her interest in Divination, taking the subject alongside Hermione and showing a particular affinity for it under Professor Trelawney.
